The Kiwanis Club of Griffin will be sponsoring The Traveling Military Museum, by Lamar Scott, at the Kiwanis Building on June 24th through the 28th. This museum is free to the public and features hundreds of artifacts  from weapons to everyday items dating back to the Spanish-American War. Hours will be June 24th from 9 am to 6 pm, the 25th from 2 pm to 6 pm, the 26th and 27th from 9 am to 6 pm and June 28th from 9 am until 11 am.

Tags of Hope thrift shop on Vineville Avenue in Macon invites you to shop their non profit store to benefit area boys and girls in need. Donations of items and purchases go to the Methodist home. Come out and join in the fun.  In case of rain the reschedule date will be June 3rd.

The 16th Annual Taste of Fayette returns to Historic Downtown Fayetteville on Sunday, May 21, from noon to 4 p.m., and all are welcome to come out and participate as competing local restaurants are awarded “Finest Taste”, “Finest Treat”, and “Most Amazing Booth”. Taste of Fayette takes place at Stonewall Village across the street from the Old Fayette County Courthouse.  Admission is free, and guests use tokens, which are sold for 50 cents each, to purchase food and beverages from local eateries.

The I-58 Mission will host their first annual Golf Tournament on May 25th at the Whitewater Country Club in Fayetteville. Registration begins at 8 am with breakfast provided by Chick Fil A. More information at www.Thei58mission.org

The Pregnancy Care Center in Jonesboro, GA is looking for their next Director. Sheila Gose has served the Center for over thirty years as a volunteer and paid staff and then as Director. The Pregnancy Care Center helps women to make the choice of life for their baby. Someone applying for the Director position should have a heart felt desire to help women in a difficult time and be able to present the Gospel. The Center welcomes inquiries. Jodeco road United Methodist Church announces their annual community-wide Easter egg hunt April 15 at 3:00 PM. The church is located at 1500 Jodeco Rd Stockbridge. There will be activities, entertainment, refreshments, and maybe a special visit by the Easter bunny.
